THE 2ND ANNUAL LANGFORD BIKEFEST RETURNS OCT 21-22

Oct 12, 2023 – Langford BC. – Today the Wheelhouse Cycling Society, in partnership with the City of Langford, announced the launch of the 2nd Annual Langford Bikefest presented by Advanced Self Storage, scheduled for Oct 21-22 at the Jordie Lunn Bike Park.


The festival is comprised of exciting Enduro and Cyclocross cycling events, with the Live Like Jordie Enduro on Saturday Oct 21 and the Broad Street Cycles Cyclocross Grand Prix on Sunday Oct 22. Kids and families will also be taking part in the Cycling BC Hop On Expo for Kids where free drop-in skills and games sessions will be offered during the weekend of the festival. Children between the ages of 3-12 will be welcome to drop by the Cycling BC Hop On biking zone to learn some new skills and fun cycling games. Children will have the option of borrowing a bicycle and helmet provided by Cycling BC.

“On behalf of myself and Langford Council, we are pleased to see the Langford Bike Fest return to the Jordie Lunn Bike Park for its second year,” said Langford Mayor Scott Goodmanson. “Events like this help highlight Langford as an exciting mountain biking and cycling destination. It also brings awareness and inspires youth to try a new activity and makes bikingmore accessible for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities. We look forward to the upcoming grand opening of the Jordie Lunn Clubhouse which will complete the vision for this incredible project.”

The soon-to-be-completed Jordie Lunn Clubhouseis a 5000 sq ft community facility that will offer various amenities and services to residents and visitors. It will include a full-service bike shop, a café, and shared office space for Cycling BC and Cycling Canada to offer programming.

The 2023 Langford Bikefest Lineup includes:

  • Oct 21 – Live Like Jordie Enduro: Langford Gravity Zone and Nature Trails

  • Oct 21 – Movie Screening “Nothing’s for Free” at the Belmont Theatre

  • Oct 22 – Broad Street Cycles Grand Prix – Cross on the Rock #4

The event is also supported by the Greater Victoria Sport Tourism Commission, a not-for-profit entity dedicated to increasing the quality and quantity of sport-related events and activities hosted in the Greater Victoria. “The Langford Bikefest at the Jordie Lunn Bike Park is the crown jewel event to showcase off-road cycling in the Greater Victoria area.” Says Keith Wells, Executive Director of the GVSTC. “We are especially looking forward to the grand opening of the Jordie Lunn Bike Park Clubhouse, which is an exceptional facility that will draw so many visitors to the area for years to come.”

The Langford Bikefest is produced by the Wheelhouse Cycling Society and directed by Panache Cycling Sports. The event is supported by local businesses and non-profit organizations such as Nolan Riding, South Island Mountain bike Society, and Cycling BC.



The Jordie Lunn Bike Park is a one-of-a-kind recreational cycling space in the City of Langford that caters to cyclists of all ages and abilities. It combines elements of dirt jumping, a pump track, skills area, and cyclocross/mountain bike trails in one seamless experience. The Park serves as a year-round public cycling space for recreation and high-performance training. In addition, it offers exciting programming and sports development opportunities for schools, sports teams, and clubs. The Jordie Lunn Bike Park is positioned to become a major cycling event venue to host various cycling events such as pump track, dirt jump competitions and mountain bike/cyclocross races.
